It's that time of the year again, time for Fall shopping by far my favorite season for fashion. I consider a jacket an accessory that is just as important as the handbag you carry and the boots you wear, it ties the whole look together. I'm looking for a leather or fur jacket this season. I have a black fur vest from last season that I still love, but I love the jackets that are out this year. I really need a leather jacket, I have not bought one in quite a few seasons. I LOVE the electric blue Theory leather jacket but am afraid it's not practical enough although I wear black and gray most of the time. But it might be better to go with black and get more wear especially since the prices of leather jackets have gone up so much. Just a few years back you get get a contemporary designer leather jacket for $500-$700, now they seem to be $1,000 & up (ouch). As of now I am still leaning towards the Theory jacket I gasped the first time I saw it. As we all know that usually means that "it's the one". Any suggestions?

Jewel tones will be a strong influence this Fall & Winter season. You will see them in  shoes, handbags, tights, jewelry, jackets and clothing. Wear them all together for a bold look or just choose a few pieces to add a pop of color to a black or gray outfit. These colors are also great as they can be worn now thru the upcoming seasons.

Wearing Leather In The Summer Is "OK"

Wearing leather and boots in the Summer is OK! This is no longer a fashion "Don't". The question has been raised on fashion & celebrity blogs lately as to why the celebs are wearing leather pants, dresses and boots when it is so hot out? If you look at street style in NYC women have been wearing boots (even knee boots) for the past several Summer seasons. Leather is now a year round wardrobe staple. Most leathers now are made stretch and are super soft and thin and are not much heavier than some fabrics. So go ahead and wear your leather you do not have to wait until Fall or Winter.

Hair Color Trends: Red Hot Reds & Rainbows

           

Red Hot Reds: Fiery reds are so hot right now. Go as bright as you dare! 

Rainbow Brights: Rainbow colors are being seen in all over color, highlights & Ombre'. You can be daring and do an all over rainbow color or just add a few colors to your bangs or tips. This procedure can be done with permanent or temporary colors. If you just want a fun look for a few days hair chalking is an easy alternative and washes out in 3-4 shampoos.

Fall Must Have - Leather Skinny Jeans

A Fall must have for your wardrobe is definitely a pair of leather skinny jean or leggings. The leather versions like this pair by Vince (below) retails for $1,150. If you can afford them go for it they are amazing!

Here is another version of Habitual skinny jeans (below) retailing for $264, now that's closer to my budget! They are treated stretch denim and look very similar to leather. As much as I would like to purchase a pair of Vince leather leggings I will be buying something similar to these.

Feathers!
