NYFW Outfit (In Progress)

I will be attending NYFW Spring 2013 next week. This will be my 5th visit and each one is more exciting! The hard part is trying to figure out what to wear. I love scoping out the crowd, checking out the street style, all the fashionista's  from around the world and who's who's in the fashion industry. You also see the most current, edgy hairstyles and hair colors, which I love as I am also in the beauty industry. 

I am attending the Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2013 runway show, she always put on an amazing show and I love see to all the celebrities in the crowd. So first up the handbag. I will be carrying the RM MAC Daddy Clutch in Smoke. Wearing Rag & Bone Newbury booties, Rag & Bone ombre' jeans and a Helmut Lang asymmetrical tee in black.


Accessories, accessories & more accessories.  Since I usually dress monochromatic I like to break up my look with several bracelets, cuffs & rings. I will usually just wear 1 necklace, like the Dannijo silver neck cuff (pictured above). Or a long pendant and simple earrings. I always wear black nail polish, this time I will do the black & silver french manicure (also pictured above). Last but not least, the hairstyle. My hair color is my pop of color. I have bright copper red, super short hair (which I love). It is a my stand out signature style which looks best when wearing darker colors. I will post pic's when everything comes together!

The newest boot trend this Fall is the sheath, slouchy boot. I can not seem to grasp this trend. I love wearing boots to give my legs a sleek look. I will have to investigate and try on a few pair before I can pass final judgement. 

Other trends for Fall 12 include, the riding boot, motorcycle inspired styles & ankle booties. Over the knees boots are still being seen, so glad!! The Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boot I have been wearing for the last few seasons are still in style, they are awesome! The Stuart Weitzman riding boot (pictured above) has been my first boot purchase so far this Fall. I Got them for a great price during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. 

I am partial to Rag & Bone and Stuart Weitzman boots due the the styles, quality and comfort. The Rag & Bone Classic Newbury (above right) I purchased last Fall and got tons of wear out of them and will continue to wear them this year. They look great with everything from jeans to skirts. The other 2 Rag & Bone styles (above) are new styles for this year. Maybe I'll have to try a pair? What about you? What are your favorite boot trends this year? 

Miley's New "Do" Love It or Hate It?

There seems to be a lot of controversy over Miley's new do in the press today. I for 1 LOVE it. It's fresh, fun and edgy & she is rocking it! She has come a long way from her Hanna Montana days and has grown into a beautiful young lady who's not afraid to take chances with her style. A hairstyle like this can be your best accessory. I "might" be a little biased since I also have a very similar do. Do you love it or hate it?

Nail Trends: Loubie Manicure

LOUBIE NAILS! Nail art is having a huge moment right now. While I love the bright and bold designs we are seeing now on toe nails, Its nice to see a more elegant version for finger nails. Simply paint underneath of the nail red and apply black polish on top.
